Programs

 

Students in this program attend scene study, acting for the camera and career development workshops, and meet well-known directors, actors, casting directors and producers.

Producing provides an intensive overview of the contemporary film, TV and streaming landscape, up-to-the-minute industry insight, and the tools needed to navigate the studio, independent and streaming marketplace.

Students in the Professional Program in Screenwriting attend two classes per week: A lecture series taught by UCLA Screenwriting instructors and a screenwriting workshop led by a guest professional screenwriter.

SCREENWRITING ONLINE

Like the on-campus program, students in the Screenwriting Online course participate in a group lecture and workshop. High-speed Internet access and a web cam are required.

WRITING FOR TELEVISION

Students in the Professional Program in Writing for Television attend two classes per week: A lecture taught by UCLA Writing for Television instructors and a writing for television workshop led by a professional television writer.

WRITING FOR TELEVISION ONLINE

Like the on-campus program, students in the Writing for Television Online course participate in a group lecture and workshop. High-speed Internet access and a web cam are required.

By the end of this workshop, writers will have created a complete talk show packet and sketch portfolio with elements specific to each writer’s goal, and leave with a plan to move forward with that material. 

The Professional Program in Directing provides an overview of the art and craft of Directing in the current film and television industries.
